Purpose
The purpose of the Widows/Widowers Grief Recovery Class
is:

to provide a safe place for sharing experiences of
loss and grief

to facilitate understanding of the grieving process
-
to encourage hope and provide support
-
to enable people to begin and work through the grief
process
- This group is open to widows and widowers of all ages no
matter how far along they are in their grief process. Whether you have
recently lost a spouse or your spouse died years ago, all who are interested
in working through their grief are welcome. It is not
necessary to be a member of this or any church to be part of this class.
Content

The class material consists of a workbook, Grief Recovery, A Workbook for Widows and
Widowers by
Robyn Ledwith Mar. The class helps participants complete their grieving and
recover from their loss. There is a $5.00 fee for the workbook which is
collected at the first class.

- Choosing to Recover
- Letting Go of the Past
- Getting Back in Balance
- Building a New Life

- Classes run for ten weeks. The two-hour
classes are held
weekdays at local area churches. New
classes are beginning in September.

- Pre-registration is required and new members are accepted only the first three weeks of
class.
