Rev. Chris Gelini, Pastor
|

|
Pastor Chris came to us in 2005 from a congregation in rural, southeast Washington, where he has served
for over six years. His journey of discipleship included
membership and leadership with Hollywood Presbyterian Church,
where he experienced his calling to full-time
ministry. During his ministry with The Navigators at UCLA,
God clarified His purpose statement for Chris's life, "To
know Christ and make Him known." This also led
Chris to seek his Master's of Divinity degree through Fuller
Theological Seminary. Now, Chris's greatest joy in
ministry, other than preaching and teaching the Word of God, is
watching God change people's lives. He reflects, "The power of Christ
through the Holy Spirit is an amazing process to see at work in
another's life."
Chris is joined in life ministry by his
wife, Margaret, who is also an ordained Presbyterian pastor.
Margaret is taking a new call as an at-home mom for their young
daughter. The family enjoys taking walks together and spending time with
their extended family, most of whom live on the Peninsula.
Chris is an enthusiastic Giants' and 49ers' fan (we really need to
convert him to the teams on our side of the Bay) as well as an
avid reader.

- Carol, Office Manager/Financial
Secretary
|
Carol has been the
gateway to PBPC for seven years. Carol grew up in Berkeley and
graduated from RHEMA Bible Training College in Oklahoma and Shiloh
Bible College in Oakland. She has held other office manager
positions, and also worked with children and the elderly. Working
at PBPC gives her the opportunity to meld her professional skills
and her Christian leadership training. Carol is PBPC’s
receptionist, publisher of weekly and monthly publications,
financial secretary, and administrative assistant to the Senior
Pastor. Carol’s greatest joys in ministry are seeing people come
to know, and then grow in their knowledge of, Jesus and working
for the healing and reconciliation of Judeo-Christian
relationships.
Carol's family includes her son, Joaquin,
her daughter-in-law and her wonderful grandchild! She is also close to her
parents and brothers. She loves traveling on mission trips! Carol also enjoys
swimming, gardening and walking in the outdoor world.

- Rex, Custodian
|
Rex has been caring for the PBPC
buildings and grounds for longer than any of us can
remember. His job title may be Custodian, but the
attention, craft, resourcefulness, and care he brings to our
facilities make him an indispensable partner in the ministries of
the congregation. He's also been known to share his
experience with customers of the local hardware store.
Rex and his wife Sally have two teenage
children who are growing up too fast. |
